Polaroid goes Gaga

The first Polaroid Grey Label by Haus of Gaga product will hit the market in June.  It is called the GL10 Instant Mobile printer and is the next generation of the Polaroid instant printing line.  Marrying the convenience of today's digital images and the original Polaroid instant experience, the 15-ounce printer, about the size of a paperback book, works from most mobile phones wirelessly via Bluetooth and from most digital cameras, Windows PCs and Macs via a USB cable.  3 x 4" photos print with the classic Polaroid border in less than one minute.  Besides printing with the Polaroid border, it also offers a wide range of custom designed borders or the option of printing with no border.
I think one of the best features of this product is that it prints without ink using 2nd generation ZINK® Zero Ink® Printing Technology from ZINK Imaging. Inkless printing embeds color into the paper - no ink cartridges or ribbons needed!  It's rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery fully-charged can produce only about 35 prints though.

When Polaroid could have rolled over and died, they stepped it up and adapted to the ever changing, digital technologies.  Only downfall- this printer doesn't work with the iPhone, but I'm sure it will only be a matter of time until Apple wants in too.
